Instructions

  1. Line a baking sheet with foil or parchment paper.

  2. Melt chocolate in a microwave, stirring every 20-30 seconds until smooth, or use a double boiler; temper if desired.

  3. Stir in cayenne pepper and chopped pecans until well-mixed.

  4. Pour and spread the chocolate mixture evenly onto the prepared sheet.

  5. Optionally sprinkle with crushed red pepper while still wet.

  6. Let the bark set completely at room temperature for up to 4 hours, or refrigerate for about 15 minutes, then break into pieces.
