Spicy Baked Hot Wings

Buffalo-style chicken wings feature a homemade spicy sauce and are baked for a perfectly crisp finish.

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 425 F.

  2. Line a baking sheet with nonstick foil or foil sprayed with nonstick spray.

  3. In a saucepan, melt butter with hot sauce, Tabasco, vinegar, and brown sugar; set aside.

  4. Trim wing tips and cut wings at the joint.

  5. Toss trimmed wings with 3 tablespoons of the hot sauce mixture; reserve the remaining sauce.

  6. Combine flour, cayenne, black pepper, and salt in a bag or bowl; coat wing pieces in this mixture.

  7. Arrange coated wings on the baking sheet and bake for 20 minutes.

  8. Flip wings and bake for another 20 minutes.

  9. Transfer baked wings to a bowl or slow cooker, add remaining sauce, toss to coat, and serve immediately or keep warm.

  10. Serve with celery sticks and blue cheese or ranch dressing.
