Spiced Skillet Country Style Pork Ribs Recipe

Instructions

  1. Wash and cut ribs into smaller portions if desired.

  2. On a plate, combine allspice, ginger, pepper, salt, thyme, and 2 tablespoons brown sugar.

  3. Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium heat.

  4. Dredge pork pieces in the spice mixture and brown on all sides in the hot oil.

  5. Add chopped onion and cook for 4 minutes, then add beef broth and 1 to 2 tablespoons brown sugar.

  6. Gently boil for 3 to 5 minutes until liquids reduce by one-fourth to one-half.

  7. Cover and cook for 30 to 45 minutes until the pork is tender.
