Spiced Cranberry Margarita

A festive margarita combines tequila, orange liqueur, and lime juice with cranberry and homemade cinnamon simple syrup for a holiday-inspired cocktail.

Instructions

  1. Combine sugar, water, and cinnamon sticks in a small saucepan. Bring to a boil, cooking for about 2 minutes until the sugar fully dissolves.

  2. Remove from heat and allow to cool to room temperature for 15 minutes.

  3. Pour tequila, orange liqueur, lime juice, cranberry juice, and 1/2 ounce of the cooled cinnamon simple syrup into a cocktail shaker.

  4. Fill the shaker with ice, seal it, and shake until the mixture is thoroughly chilled.

  5. Strain the cocktail into a rocks glass filled with fresh ice. Garnish with a cinnamon stick and orange slice if desired.
