Spanish Rice

Instructions

  1. In a large skillet, cook bacon until crisp; remove, drain, crumble, and set aside, leaving 1-2 teaspoons of grease.

  2. Brown ground beef in the same skillet, breaking it apart, then stir in chopped onion and green bell pepper and cook until the onion softens.

  3. Add tomatoes, water, rice, chili sauce, salt, sugar, Worcestershire sauce, and pepper. Cover and simmer for 30 to 35 minutes.

  4. Serve topped with the reserved crumbled bacon and, optionally, shredded Mexican cheese blend.
