Instructions

  1. Heat a grill or cast-iron frying pan until very hot, then add 2 tablespoons olive oil to coat the cooking surface.

  2. Rinse and drain the shrimp; halve the lemon.

  3. Place shrimp on the hot surface, sprinkle generously with salt, and squeeze lemon juice directly over them.

  4. Turn shrimp, then sprinkle with more salt and squeeze additional lemon juice.

  5. When shrimp are pink and their shells lightly browned, transfer them to a serving platter and garnish with lemon.
