Spaghetti in the Microwave

Instructions

  1. In a 3-quart microwave-safe casserole, combine beef, onions, and garlic; crumble beef. Microwave on high for 5 to 6 minutes, stirring to brown and break up meat, then drain any fat.

  2. Add spaghetti sauce, water, uncooked spaghetti, and basil to the casserole; mix well.

  3. Cover with vented microwave-safe plastic wrap and microwave on high for 5 minutes.

  4. Stir, cover again, and microwave on high for 8 to 10 minutes; stir once more.

  5. Sprinkle with cheese, cover, and microwave on high for 7 to 8 minutes until the spaghetti is tender.

  6. Let stand for 4 minutes before serving.
