Instructions

  1. Whisk eggs, cream, sugar, vanilla, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt in a shallow dish.

  2. Soak sourdough bread slices in the mixture for 3 minutes per side.

  3. Melt 1-2 tablespoons of butter in a cast-iron skillet over medium heat.

  4. Cook soaked bread slices for 2 minutes per side until golden, repeating for all slices.

  5. Serve with fruit and maple syrup.
