Soboro Donburi (Japanese Ground Chicken Bowl) Recipe

Instructions

  1. In a medium pan, combine soy sauce, mirin, sugar, and ginger over medium-low heat.

  2. Add ground chicken, mix, and simmer, stirring constantly until cooked through and finely scrambled; set aside.

  3. In a small bowl, beat eggs, then add sugar, mirin, and salt; mix well.

  4. Heat a medium pan over medium-low heat, greasing if needed. Add egg mixture and scramble continuously until finely cooked.

  5. Divide steamed rice among four bowls.

  6. Arrange the cooked chicken on one side of each bowl and the scrambled egg alongside it.

  7. Optionally, add sliced cooked green beans to create a third section before serving.
