Instructions

  1. Melt butter in a small saucepan over low heat, then simmer on medium-low for 45 minutes until milk solids are light amber.

  2. Strain the clarified butter through cheesecloth into a bowl, ensuring all milk solids are removed for a perfectly clear product.

  3. Stir salt into the strained butter, pour into a jar, cover, and store in a cool, dark place for a minimum of one month.

  4. Refrigerate after opening.
