Small Batch White Dinner Rolls

Preheat oven to 375 degrees F.

In a medium bowl, combine water and yeast, then stir in milk, butter, sugar, and salt.

Mix in 1 1/2 cups of flour, then gradually add more flour until a soft, smooth dough forms after 4 minutes of kneading on a floured surface.

Grease a medium bowl, place the dough in it, turn to coat, cover, and let rise in a warm place for 1 hour until doubled.

Punch down the dough, then knead on a floured surface for 4 minutes.

Divide the dough into 6 small rolls, shape them, and place on a greased baking sheet 2 inches apart.
