Slow Cooker Taco Stack With Ground Beef

Line the slow cooker with a long strip of foil, folded lengthwise, with ends hanging over the edge to create handles.

In a large skillet, heat oil and sauté onion until tender. Add ground beef, cook until no longer pink, then drain. Stir in chili powder, cumin, salt, garlic, tomato sauce, and sliced olives; heat thoroughly.

Butter one side of corn tortillas. Layer tortillas, buttered side up, in the slow cooker, alternating with the meat mixture and shredded cheese, ending with cheese. Fold excess foil over the stack, cover, and cook on HIGH for 1 hour.

Using the foil handles, carefully lift the tortilla pie from the slow cooker. Allow it to cool briefly, then cut into wedges.
