Slow Cooker Polenta (or Grits) Recipe

Instructions

  1. Grease a crock pot with 1 tablespoon butter.

  2. Combine remaining ingredients and butter in the slow cooker; stir well.

  3. Cook on low for 6 to 9 hours, or high for 3 to 4 hours, stirring occasionally.

  4. Optionally, transfer the mixture to a greased loaf pan, chill thoroughly, then cut into 1/4-inch slices.

  5. Fry the slices in butter or bacon drippings until browned.
