Slow Cooker Lemon Chicken

Instructions

  1. Season chicken with salt, pepper, and half of the garlic and oregano.

  2. Melt butter in a pan over medium heat, then brown the chicken on all sides.

  3. Transfer chicken to a slow cooker, sprinkling with remaining garlic and oregano. Deglaze the sauté pan with wine or sherry and pour into the slow cooker.

  4. Cover and cook on low for 7 to 8 hours, adding lemon juice during the final hour.

  5. Skim fat from the juices, then pour into a serving bowl; thicken as desired.

  6. Serve the chicken with the prepared juices.
