Slow Cooker Garlic Chicken With Cabbage

Instructions

  1. Season the chicken with kosher salt and black pepper, then place it in a slow cooker.

  2. Add carrots, onion, garlic, about 2 cups of chicken broth, and a bay leaf.

  3. Cover and cook on high for 3 to 4 hours, ensuring the chicken becomes very tender.

  4. Approximately 30 to 45 minutes before the chicken finishes cooking, cut the head of cabbage into wedges.

  5. Place the cabbage wedges in a large pot with 1 cup of water, butter, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.

  6. Cover the pan and cook over medium-high heat for 20 to 30 minutes until the cabbage is tender, then drain.

  7. Serve the cooked cabbage in a bowl, topped with the chicken, vegetables, and sauce.
