Instructions

  1. Cut thawed fish fillets into bite-sized pieces.

  2. Dice bacon or salt pork, then fry with chopped onion in a skillet until cooked; drain fat.

  3. Combine fish, bacon, onion, cubed potatoes, water, salt, and pepper in a slow cooker.

  4. Cook on low for 5 to 6 hours, or until potatoes are tender.

  5. Stir in evaporated milk and cook for an additional 30 minutes to 1 hour, or until heated through.
