Slow Cooker Bread Pudding

Instructions

  1. Lightly butter a slow cooker, then add bread cubes.

  2. In a bowl, whisk together scalded milk, eggs, sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, salt, vanilla, and melted butter.

  3. Pour the milk mixture over the bread cubes, then add optional raisins.

  4. Press the bread cubes into the mixture to ensure they are fully soaked; do not stir.

  5. Cover and cook on low for 5 to 6 hours, or until the pudding is set.

  6. Serve with a dessert sauce or whipped cream.
