Slow Cooker Barbecue Beef Short Ribs
Tender, flavorful barbecue beef short ribs can be easily prepared in a slow cooker.

Instructions

Rub ribs with salt and pepper.

Heat olive oil in a large skillet and sear ribs on all sides for 2-3 minutes until browned.

Transfer seared ribs to the slow cooker insert.

Combine beef stock, red wine, 1/4 cup water, and optional liquid smoke in a bowl.

Pour stock mixture over ribs in the slow cooker, set to medium heat, and cook for 2.5-3 hours.

After 2.5-3 hours, drain all liquid from the slow cooker, keeping ribs in the insert.

Mix barbecue sauce, 3 tablespoons water, Worcestershire sauce, onion powder, chili powder, and garlic powder in a bowl.

Pour barbecue sauce mixture over ribs, reduce slow cooker heat to low, and cook for another 2-3 hours.

Stir before serving.
