Simple Vegan Tomato Sauce

Instructions

Heat 1/4 cup olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.

Sauté 1/2 chopped onion and 3 minced garlic cloves until soft.

Stir in 1 (28-ounce) can crushed or diced tomatoes, 1/2 teaspoon salt, 1/4 teaspoon black pepper, and a pinch of sugar.

Simmer for 10 to 15 minutes.
