Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 300 F.

  2. Cream butter, then stir in vanilla.

  3. Gradually mix confectioners' sugar and flour into the butter mixture.

  4. Fold chopped pecans into the dough.

  5. Pinch off dough and roll into quarter-sized balls.

  6. Place on greased baking sheets, bake at 300 F for 10 minutes, then increase heat to 325 F and bake for 5 to 10 more minutes.

  7. Roll cooled cookies in confectioners' sugar.
