Simple Oven-Fried Tilapia

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F and spray a baking sheet with nonstick cooking spray.

  2. Rinse and pat dry the tilapia fillets.

  3. Prepare three shallow bowls: one with flour, one with whisked eggs and milk/cream, and one with a mixture of breadcrumbs, cornmeal, Creole seasoning, salt, parsley, and thyme.

  4. Dip each fillet sequentially in the flour, then the egg mixture, and finally the seasoned crumb mixture to coat thoroughly.

  5. Arrange the coated tilapia fillets on the prepared baking sheet; optionally drizzle with melted butter.

  6. Bake for 10 to 15 minutes, or until the fish flakes easily.

  7. Serve with lemon wedges and a side of tartar or remoulade sauce.
