Simple Cream of Mushroom Soup

Instructions

  1. Start boiling water. In a large saucepan, combine mushrooms, boiling water, chicken bouillon, and onion; bring to a boil, then cover and simmer for 20 minutes.

  2. In a separate saucepan, melt butter, then blend in flour. Gradually add milk and cook, stirring, until the mixture thickens.

  3. Stir the thickened milk mixture into the mushroom mixture. Season with salt and pepper.

  4. Optionally, blend the soup to your desired consistency.
