Simple and Delicious Buttered Herb Pasta

Instructions

  1. Start boiling 4-5 quarts of salted water.

  2. Add pasta and cook for 2 minutes less than package directions.

  3. Test pasta for al dente texture.

  4. Reserve 1/3 cup pasta water, then drain the pasta.

  5. Return pasta to the pot.

  6. Add butter, parsley, and basil; toss with tongs, adding reserved pasta water as needed to thicken.

  7. Toss over low heat for 1-2 minutes, sprinkle with cheese if desired, and serve immediately.
