Sichuan Peppercorn Salt Recipe
A customizable spicy salt condiment features toasted and ground Sichuan peppercorns with salt.

Combine salt and peppercorns in a heavy frying pan.

Toast the mixture over medium-low heat for 8-10 minutes, shaking continuously, until smoke appears and peppercorns are fragrant. Allow to cool.

Grind the cooled mixture using a blender, food processor, mortar and pestle, or rolling pin until peppercorns are crushed.

Store in a sealed jar at room temperature.
