Sesame and Chili Marinated Tofu

An Asian-inspired tofu marinade doubles as a flavorful stir-fry sauce, enhanced by dry-frying the tofu for better absorption.

Instructions

  1. Whisk together rice vinegar, light and dark soy sauces, olive oil, garlic, sesame oil, sugar, and chili paste.

  2. Place tofu into a large bowl or resealable bag with the prepared marinade.

  3. Refrigerate for 2 to 4 hours, stirring periodically to ensure even coating.

  4. Drain the tofu, setting aside the marinade.

  5. Combine cornstarch with 2 tablespoons of water to form a slurry.

  6. Stir-fry the marinated tofu, then incorporate the reserved marinade and slurry to create a finishing sauce.
