Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, combine ground beef, pork, lamb, garlic, onions, salt, and paprika; mix until just combined, avoiding overmixing.

  2. Refrigerate the meat mixture for several hours to allow flavors to meld and the mixture to firm.

  3. Heat a grill, broiler, or skillet.

  4. Divide the chilled meat into 6 portions; using dampened hands, form each into a thin, 9-inch by 1/2-inch patty.

  5. Cook patties for approximately 7 minutes per side.

  6. Serve with desired accompaniments such as onions, tomato, ajvar, or various breads.
