Semi-Homemade Cherry Cake

Preheat oven to 350 F.

Grease and flour a 9x13-inch baking pan.

Prepare the cake mix using oil or melted butter and eggs, but with only 1/2 cup of water, following package directions.

Spread the batter into the prepared pan, then evenly spoon cherry pie filling over the batter and swirl gently for a marbled effect.

Bake for 30 to 35 minutes, or until the cake springs back when lightly touched.
