Scottish Tattie Scones

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400 F (200 C).

  2. Combine mashed potatoes with all remaining ingredients in a large bowl to form a sticky dough.

  3. Roll the dough on a floured surface to 1/2-inch thickness.

  4. Cut into saucer-sized rounds and score a cross into each to mark four equal wedges.

  5. Grease a baking sheet and bake for 20 minutes until golden brown and risen, or cook on a greased griddle for 5 minutes per side until golden.

  6. Serve warm with butter.
