Savory Simmered Matzo Farfel Recipe for Passover

Instructions

  1. Break matzo sheets into medium pieces in a bowl.

  2. Dampen the broken matzo with warm water, then drain after 1-2 minutes.

  3. Add beaten eggs and matzo meal; mix thoroughly, breaking matzo into smaller pieces.

  4. Heat oil in a large pan and sauté the matzo for 3-4 minutes, until the egg is set and the matzo begins to brown.

  5. Pour in the broth and cook, stirring occasionally, for about 10 minutes until most of the liquid is absorbed.
