Savory Leek & Cheese Tart Recipe

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375 F. Clean and thinly slice leeks.

  2. Melt butter in a large pan over medium heat. Add sliced leeks and salt; cook, stirring, for 10 minutes until tender.

  3. Stir in half-and-half or cream, reduce heat to low, and cook for 5 minutes. Remove from heat, stir in pepper, and adjust seasoning.

  4. Place the tart crust into a 9-inch tart pan.

  5. Spread the leek mixture evenly in the crust, top with cheese, and place on a baking sheet.

  6. Bake for 35 minutes until bubbly and golden.

  7. Let the tart rest for 10 minutes before serving.
