Instructions

  1. Rinse 1 pound fresh broccoli and cut it into florets and similar-sized stem pieces; peel any tough stem skin.

  2. Place the prepared broccoli in a large pot, cover with water, add 1 teaspoon kosher salt, and bring to a boil. Simmer for 3 to 4 minutes until crisp-tender.

  3. Drain the broccoli thoroughly.

  4. In a large skillet, heat 3 tablespoons extra-virgin olive oil over medium heat. Sauté 2 minced garlic cloves for 1 minute until fragrant.

  5. Add the drained broccoli to the skillet and cook for 3 to 5 minutes, stirring frequently, until glazed and tender.

  6. Sprinkle with 2 teaspoons fresh lemon juice, season with salt and pepper, and serve immediately.
