Instructions

  1. Mix salt with about 3/4 cup water to form a firm paste.

  2. Firmly pack the salt paste onto one side of the steak and place it on the grill, paste-side up.

  3. Once the salt browns, flip the steak and pack salt onto the other side; do not replace any fallen salt.

  4. Grill the steak to your desired doneness, using a meat thermometer for accuracy.

  5. Remove the steak from the grill and break off the salt crust, using a knife if needed.

  6. Rest the steak for 5 minutes before slicing and serving.
