Salmon With Brown Sugar Pecan Glaze

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 425 F.

  2. Toast pecans in a dry skillet over medium-low heat until browned and aromatic. Add brown sugar, butter, and bourbon or water, then simmer to create the glaze; set aside.

  3. Heat olive oil in an ovenproof skillet over medium-high heat. Sear salmon, skin side down, for 2 minutes, seasoning with salt and pepper.

  4. Transfer the skillet to the oven and roast for 5 minutes. Spoon glaze over fillets and continue roasting for 3 to 5 minutes until the salmon flakes easily.

  5. Turn off the oven and let the salmon rest inside for 2 minutes before serving.
