Instructions

  1. Cut the pork shoulder into several large chunks.

  2. Combine the pork, sliced onion, salt, pepper, and root beer in a slow cooker.

  3. Cook on low for 8 to 10 hours, or on high for 4 to 5 hours, until the pork is very tender.

  4. Drain and discard the liquids from the slow cooker.
