Instructions

  1. Preheat a gas or charcoal grill to medium heat (350F to 375F).

  2. Cut chicken into 1 1/2-inch cubes.

  3. Combine chopped herbs, pepper, lemon juice, sugar, ginger, garlic, and plain yogurt in a zip-top bag.

  4. Add chicken cubes to the bag, ensuring all pieces are coated, and refrigerate for at least three hours or overnight.

  5. Mince garlic with salt until it forms a paste.

  6. Whisk the garlic paste with oil for approximately 3 minutes until well combined and emulsified.

  7. Stir in sour cream and black pepper; set the sauce aside.

  8. Thread the marinated chicken onto skewers (pre-soak wooden skewers in water for about an hour).

  9. Grill kebabs on greased grates for 10 to 15 minutes, turning them several times, until cooked through.

  10. Serve the chicken kebabs with the prepared garlic sauce.
