Rolled Chocolate Cookie Recipe
Classic chocolate cookies are prepared by rolling out the dough and cutting shapes with cookie cutters.

Instructions

Preheat the oven to 375F.

Ensure all ingredients are at room temperature.

Cream butter, sugar, and salt in a stand mixer.

Mix in egg, milk, and vanilla until blended.

Sift flour, cocoa, and baking powder together into a separate bowl.

Add dry ingredients to wet and mix until just combined.

Wrap dough in plastic and chill for at least 30 minutes, avoiding overworking.

Prepare baking sheets by greasing or lining with parchment paper.

On a lightly floured surface, roll chilled dough to 1/8-inch thickness.

Cut cookies and arrange them on the prepared baking sheets.

Brush cookie tops with milk and sprinkle with sugar.

Bake for 8-10 minutes, or until edges are lightly golden.
