Ritz Cracker Pecan Pie—Mock Pecan Pie

Instructions

Preheat the oven to 325 F and butter a 9-inch pie plate.

Combine cracker crumbs and baking powder.

Beat egg whites until stiff, then slowly add sugar and vanilla, continuing to beat until blended.

Fold the egg white mixture into the cracker crumbs, then spread the filling into the prepared pie plate.

Arrange pecans over the top of the filling.

Bake for 30 minutes.

Remove from oven, sprinkle with grated chocolate, then return to the oven or place under the broiler briefly to melt the chocolate.

Serve with desired toppings.
