Instructions
-
Line a 12x17 inch baking sheet with waxed paper and spray with nonstick cooking spray.
-
Melt 2 tablespoons butter in a large microwave-safe bowl for about 45 seconds.
-
Add 2 cups miniature marshmallows to the bowl and microwave for about 1 minute, stirring every 30 seconds, until completely smooth.
-
Stir in 3 cups of rice cereal until coated, then immediately press the mixture into a thin layer on half of the prepared baking sheet using sprayed hands.
-
Place pairs of gummy worms an inch from the short edge, creating a line across the sheet.
-
Roll the cereal mixture around the gummy worms using the waxed paper, pressing firmly to form a tight log. Cut the log, then repeat the process for the remaining cereal.
-
Slice the logs into 1-inch rounds and wrap each with a strip of green fruit chew.
-
For 'nigiri', prepare another batch of rice candy as in steps 1-4, but press it 3/4 inch thick.
-
Cut the thicker candy into 3/4 x 1 1/2 inch rectangles. Top each with a candy fish and wrap with a 1/2-inch strip of green fruit chew.
-
Arrange the candy sushi and optionally decorate the platter with chocolate sauce, green whipped cream, or pink fish candy to resemble traditional sushi condiments.
