Instructions

  1. Line a 12x17 inch baking sheet with waxed paper and spray with nonstick cooking spray.

  2. Melt 2 tablespoons butter in a large microwave-safe bowl for about 45 seconds.

  3. Add 2 cups miniature marshmallows to the bowl and microwave for about 1 minute, stirring every 30 seconds, until completely smooth.

  4. Stir in 3 cups of rice cereal until coated, then immediately press the mixture into a thin layer on half of the prepared baking sheet using sprayed hands.

  5. Place pairs of gummy worms an inch from the short edge, creating a line across the sheet.

  6. Roll the cereal mixture around the gummy worms using the waxed paper, pressing firmly to form a tight log. Cut the log, then repeat the process for the remaining cereal.

  7. Slice the logs into 1-inch rounds and wrap each with a strip of green fruit chew.

  8. For 'nigiri', prepare another batch of rice candy as in steps 1-4, but press it 3/4 inch thick.

  9. Cut the thicker candy into 3/4 x 1 1/2 inch rectangles. Top each with a candy fish and wrap with a 1/2-inch strip of green fruit chew.

  10. Arrange the candy sushi and optionally decorate the platter with chocolate sauce, green whipped cream, or pink fish candy to resemble traditional sushi condiments.
