Red Wine and Worcestershire Sauce Chicken Marinade

Instructions

  1. For the Marinade:

  2. Combine all ingredients in a medium saucepan, bring to a boil for 1 minute, then reduce heat and simmer for 8 to 10 minutes.

  3. Remove from heat and cool completely before marinating chicken for 4 to 12 hours.

  4. Store any unused marinade in the refrigerator for up to one week.

  5. For the Sauce:

  6. Combine all ingredients in a medium saucepan and simmer over medium-low heat for 15 minutes.

  7. Add cornstarch, increase heat to medium-high, and bring to a heavy simmer. Whisk for 20 to 30 seconds until the sauce thickens to coat a spoon.

  8. Remove from heat and serve on cooked poultry.
