Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 200 F.

  2. Whisk together flour, sugar, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt in a large bowl.

  3. Melt chocolate in a microwave, stirring until smooth, then cool slightly.

  4. Whisk melted butter, eggs, milk, and vanilla into the cooled chocolate, then add red food coloring.

  5. Combine the wet ingredients with the dry ingredients, mixing until just blended with no large flour pockets.

  6. Cook batter in a hot waffle iron until crispy, then transfer waffles to the preheated oven to keep warm.

  7. Whisk cream cheese icing ingredients together until completely smooth.

  8. Drizzle icing over warm waffles and top with whipped cream and berries.
