Ras Malai Recipe
Ras Malai are cheese dumplings prepared from cottage or ricotta, steeped in sweetened, cardamom-infused milk.

Instructions

Start by boiling 1 cup sugar with water until dissolved, then set aside the syrup.

Knead the Paneer until smooth, forming walnut-sized balls, and flatten slightly.

Reheat the syrup to a boil, then reduce to a simmer and cook the Paneer balls for 10 minutes before turning off the heat.

In a separate pan, boil 1 liter of full cream milk with 1/2 cup sugar, reducing the volume by 25%.

Turn off the heat, add cardamom powder, and mix into the milk.

Drain the cooked Paneer balls, then add them to the milk mixture and chill for several hours.

Garnish with dried fruit slivers before serving.
