Preheat the oven to 250 F, positioning racks in the upper and lower thirds.

Whisk vegetable oil, ranch dressing mix, dill, and optional garlic powder in a large bowl.

Add oyster crackers to the bowl and toss to coat.

Spread crackers in a single layer on 2 rimmed baking sheets. Bake for 20 minutes, stirring and rotating pans halfway through.

Remove from oven, stir to release from pan, and cool to room temperature before serving.
