In a deep pot, bring water and quinoa to a boil, ensuring quinoa is rinsed in a fine-mesh strainer if not pre-rinsed.

Reduce heat to a simmer, cover the pot, and cook for 12 to 15 minutes; then drain any remaining water.

Add pasta sauce to the same pot, stir, and simmer uncovered for 1 to 2 minutes until heated, stirring occasionally.
