Quick Pear Streusel Coffee Cake

Instructions

Preheat oven to 400°F and butter an 8-inch-square baking pan.

Combine flour, baking powder, sugar, salt, and 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon in a medium bowl.

In a separate bowl, mix egg, milk, and melted butter; pour into dry ingredients and mix well, then fold in the pears.

Pour the cake mixture into the prepared pan.

For the streusel, combine sugar and flour in a small bowl, then cut in butter until crumbs form.

Sprinkle the streusel mixture evenly over the cake batter.

Bake for 30 to 35 minutes until golden and set.
