Quick Broccoli With Oyster Sauce

Start boiling a large pot of salted water.

Blanch the broccoli for 2 to 3 minutes until tender-crisp.

Transfer broccoli to ice-cold water, then drain and place in a serving bowl.

In a small saucepan, combine chicken broth, oyster sauce, dark soy sauce, sugar, and sesame oil; bring to a boil and stir to dissolve sugar. Add salt to taste.

In a small bowl, dissolve cornstarch in water to form a slurry.

Stir the cornstarch slurry into the boiling sauce until thickened.

Pour the sauce over the blanched broccoli.
