Instructions

  1. Start boiling a large pot of salted water.

  2. Blanch the broccoli for 2 to 3 minutes until tender-crisp.

  3. Transfer broccoli to ice-cold water, then drain and place in a serving bowl.

  4. In a small saucepan, combine chicken broth, oyster sauce, dark soy sauce, sugar, and sesame oil; bring to a boil and stir to dissolve sugar. Add salt to taste.

  5. In a small bowl, dissolve cornstarch in water to form a slurry.

  6. Stir the cornstarch slurry into the boiling sauce until thickened.

  7. Pour the sauce over the blanched broccoli.

  8. Garnish with sesame seeds and serve.
