Quick and Easy Popcorn Balls

Instructions

  1. Heat corn oil in a 4-quart saucepan over medium heat for 3 minutes.

  2. Add popcorn kernels, cover the pot slightly ajar, and cook over medium heat, shaking frequently, until popping stops.

  3. Meanwhile, combine dark corn syrup, sugar, and salt in a bowl.

  4. Stir the syrup mixture into the popped corn in the pan over medium heat for 3 to 5 minutes until sugar dissolves and popcorn is coated.

  5. Remove from heat and let cool slightly until handleable.

  6. With greased hands, form the popcorn mixture into desired ball sizes and place on a parchment-lined baking sheet.

  7. Wrap each popcorn ball individually in plastic wrap or store in an airtight container.
