Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400 F.

  2. Dissolve yeast in warm water, then stir in sugar, salt, and oil.

  3. Gradually add 1 1/2 cups of flour, mixing until a workable dough forms, adding more flour if needed to prevent stickiness.

  4. Turn dough onto a floured surface and knead for 3 minutes until smooth, adding small amounts of flour if too sticky.

  5. Place dough in a greased bowl, flip to coat, cover, and let rise for 30 minutes or until doubled in size.

  6. Punch down dough, then roll and press it into a greased 12-inch pizza pan or oiled skillet, forming crust edges.

  7. Add sauce and desired toppings. Bake for approximately 20 minutes, or until crust is golden.
