Quick and Easy Cinnamon Rolls
Quick and easy cinnamon rolls are prepared with a biscuit-like dough, offering the flexibility to bake immediately or freeze for later.

Preheat the oven to 375 F and butter a 9x13-inch baking pan.

Cut shortening into flour until coarse, then add 1 cup milk and stir until moistened. Lightly knead dough 3-5 times on a floured surface.

Roll dough into a 20x14-inch rectangle, then spread with softened butter, leaving a 1/2-inch border.

Mix granulated sugar, brown sugar, and cinnamon; sprinkle over butter. Add pecans and raisins, if desired.

Roll the dough from the long side into a log, pressing edges and ends to seal.

Cut the log into 1-inch slices and place cut-side down in the prepared pan. Bake for 20-25 minutes.

Combine confectioners' sugar, 3 tablespoons milk, and vanilla; drizzle over warm rolls.
