Instructions

Chop onion, dice carrots, and dice bell pepper.

Heat olive oil in a stockpot over medium heat; sauté onion for 3 minutes.

Add carrots, bell pepper, celery, minced garlic, and sausage; cook 2 minutes, draining fat if needed.

Stir in lima beans, salt, pepper, basil, and chicken stock; bring to a boil.
