Quick Amish Cinnamon Bread Recipe

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350 F and spray an 8 1/2 x 4 1/2-inch loaf pan with cooking spray.

  2. Cream butter with 1/2 cup granulated sugar and brown sugar until light and fluffy.

  3. Incorporate the egg, vanilla, yogurt, and milk into the creamed mixture.

  4. Sift in flours, 3/4 teaspoon cinnamon, and baking soda, then mix until just combined.

  5. Spread half the batter into the prepared pan.

  6. Combine 2 tablespoons sugar and 3/4 teaspoon cinnamon, then sprinkle over the batter.

  7. Cover with the remaining batter and sprinkle additional sugar, if desired.

  8. Bake for 45 to 55 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.

  9. Cool the bread slightly before removing it from the pan to a wire rack for complete cooling.

  10. Slice and serve.
